Jade
Pretty, proven, sweet, and dependable—Jade is the kind of mare that earns her place in a broodmare band.
Shiny Little Jade, aka “Jade,” is a beautiful palomino roan mare sired by Shining Simon, a son of the legendary Shining Spark. She sells as a 2-in-1 package, currently in foal to Tricked Out Spook for a February 19, 2027 foal.
More than anything, Jade is just a really sweet mare to have around. She will meet you at the gate, is easy to catch, loves attention and scratches, and genuinely enjoys being around people. She has always had a kind, easygoing nature, and one of our favorite things about her is how consistently she passes that same disposition on to her babies. She is gentle enough to get on bareback and ride around the pasture in a halter.
Tricked Out Spook is NRHA’s newest Million Dollar Sire and has made a name for himself as a producer of beautiful, talented horses with great minds. He is 7 panel N/N, and his foals are also known for having plenty of eye-catching white. We think this should be a really fun cross on Jade.
As a broodmare, Jade is about as straightforward as you could ask for. She is 5 panel N/N, easy to get in foal, uncomplicated throughout her pregnancies, requires no special maintenance, and has always been easy to foal out. She is a wonderful mother and takes great care of her babies. Her foals tend to be gentle, easygoing, easy to handle, and comfortable around people from an early age.
She has produced beautiful foal after beautiful foal, with her offspring earning more than $3,200 between the cow horse and reining arenas. Her 2026 colt by No Smoking Required is pictured in the gallery so you can see an example of what she produces. He is a gorgeous red roan and has been one of the fanciest colts in our pasture this year.
Jade also had a successful show career of her own before becoming a broodmare, earning approximately $9,500 between the cow horse and reining arenas. She was a good Non Pro reining horse and helped her owners earn both Champion and Reserve Champion titles. Between her own show record, what she has produced, and the kind of mare she is to own, she has a lot to offer a breeding program. Her pedigree also makes her a nice outcross on many of today’s popular reining and cow horse bloodlines.
We think Jade would be a great choice for someone wanting to get started in the breeding business with a mare that has already proven herself, while also being the kind of dependable producer an experienced breeder would be happy to add to their broodmare band.
Jade does have a small bump beneath her chin that she has had for most of her life. It has never bothered her or affected her health, performance, breeding, or day-to-day life in any way.
Jade has been checked in foal, and she has a vet letter confirming her pregnancy status listed in the gallery. She has a current Coggins, and we are happy to help arrange shipping anywhere!
We invite anyone interested in Jade to come meet her in person at our ranch in Whitesboro, Texas. We are also always happy to visit over the phone, answer any questions, and tell you more about her.
